Learn To Use a Sewing Machine

During COVID 19 - For Free - With Me - Online -Absolute Beginners

...and slow your fashion down.

Have you got a sewing machine tucked away in your cupboard that you have always wanted to learn to use, if only you had the time? Now is the time!

Join me (Beth Hart) with your machine, in online zoom workshops and we will go through learning to sew, from threading your machine through to making a basic item of clothing from an old sheet or quilt cover, at a slow fashion pace, tailored to you, in small groups, with one-to-one troubleshooting.

Aim: To share basic sewing skills which will allow us to slow fashion down, to mend, reuse, recycle, redesign and reinvent clothes.

A:DRESS is a creative venture started in Folkestone to raise awareness of fast fashion pitfalls, with visible mending workshops, a clothes repair cafe, subversive catwalks and more. We are all about taking action to slow down fast fashion. Due to COVID-19, our physical workshops have been postponed, now is your opportunity to get involved online and join us in person in Folkestone later!

To join a workshop please email me. I will be arranging workshops according to demand:
